| Well, I finally got a chance to head down to va to work on putting this thing together. Left jersey at 7am saturday, got home around 10:30... started work around 1, worked till 3am, then again on sunday noon to 10. A lot of time was wasted because I needed to paint a few things, and clean a lot of the hardward that went back on. The powdercoating (trgcoating, candy blue) looks amazing, and the pictures can't come close to showing what it looks like in person. It is a deep metallic blue.. very very cool. I'm having a little trouble with the inconel manifolds... fitting the oem nut and washer doesn't seem to work, so I need to find thinner high temp washers somewhere... anyone have any idea? I tried cutting the washers, with a sawzall..... no dice, those things are HARD. stopping point was reached on the front of the engine because i still need to paint the timing covers (gloss black) and didn't want to rush it. Couldn't put the turbos on because I couldn't get the manifold situation resolved. Should be easy to get by both problems. Assembly starting from SGP long block (wiseco pistons, eagle rods, new lifters, etc). I had to replace the oil pump that was damaged in shipping, which kyle replaced at no charge or question. Thanks buddy!! (anyone know what his and greg d's favorite liquors are? i need to send them both a bottle of something nice). Top parts of the engine (plenum, coil packs aren't bolted down.... somehow i managed to lose the rubber insulators that go on the bolts that hold the intake valve covers down.. and i'm going to have the pcv pipes from the intake valve covers powdercoated as well On to the pics... full resolution and more pics are available at La-Z-Link
